Kim Tae-ho, a former manager of the late actress Jang Ja-yeon and CEO of entertainment agency Thcompany, is threatening to take legal action against his former boss, also surnamed Kim, who founded the now defunct The Content Entertainment. Jang was found dead at her home in 2009; and is believed to have committed suicide.

In a statement released Tuesday, Kim Tae-ho claimed that he has been trying hard to unearth the truth surrounding the death of the actress and fully cooperated with law enforcement officials who investigated the case.

He said his statements were consistent and true, and he didn't make up anything regarding accusations made by his former boss Kim. He said he would take legal action, filing both civil and criminal suits, against his former boss.

His statement came days after Kim, the founder of The Content Entertainment filed a lawsuit against him and actress Yoon Ge-o for defamation.

Kim of The Content Entertainment submitted documents to Seoul District Central Court, July 1, demanding 1 billion won ― 500 million each from Yoon and Kim ― as financial compensation for defaming him.

In a statement, his lawyer claimed the two used his client and the late actress Jang for their own purposes. "The two held media interviews and gave false information in order to get my client punished. They distorted the facts and portrayed my client as a person responsible for her death," the lawyer said.

He went on to say that Jang's former manager Kim lied about what happened to the late actress. "He said Ms. Jang was forced to entertain her clients even on the anniversary of her mother's death because my client blackmailed her, but this is untrue. That day turned out not to be the anniversary of her mother's death, and the actress even went to see her boyfriend and they drank after Jang left the dinner that involved alcohol consumption," the lawyer said.

He said Kim lied again and again and reversed what he had said earlier and fabricated what happened to Jang to defame his client.

Regarding actress Yoon, the lawyer said she was not in a position to know every detail of what happened to Jang because the former was a trainee and only worked with the agency for seven months.
