Producer Lee Tae-kyung of ENA's all-female cast variety show, "HyeMiLeeYeChaePa," hinted he is hopeful for the show's renewal with a second season, following the show's completion earlier this week.
"All of the cast members and production team are waiting for Season 2. If the time and situation are right, we will be able to present a more interesting and more desperate Season 2," the producer said through the network, Tuesday.
The reality show starred four K-pop singers, Hyeri of Girl's Day, Miyeon of (G)I-DLE, Yena of IZ*ONE, and Chaewon of Le Sserafim, and two TV personalities, Patricia Yiombi and choreographer Leejung.
The six celebrities are invited for a series of overnight stays at an empty, unfurnished house. To buy the necessities and furniture to use during their stay, they are given games and missions to complete with for cash.
The show is co-led by producer Lee, who previously led the talk show "Life Bar" and music variety show "Amazing Saturday," and producer Kim Jong-moo, whose previous work includes the reality show "Wild Wild Quiz."
The last episode on Sunday showed the cast members given individual quests to complete. The production team told them the cash they acquired from the mission will be used to help them settle in their new housing in Season 2, hinting at the possible follow-up season.
Producer Lee expressed mixed feelings on the show's wrap. "I haven't done a lot of series with follow-up seasons so I've never understood the feeling you get with a finale. But now, I understand why my fellow producers went through a complicated emotion after wrapping a show," he said.

"I do have regrets that I could've done better, but I'm left with more pleasant memories of this project. I've learned a lot. I hope that the past six months were a chance to grow for everyone who has been with this show."
He went on to offer words of appreciation to every staff and cast member of the show. "(The wrap) brought me to think of everyone that I'm thankful for," he said.
Hyeri also shared her experience with the show, thanking the viewers.
"'HyeMiLeeYeChaePa' was like a winter vacation that gave me some time to rest and reinvigorate amid the same everyday routine. With the beautiful scenery of Gangwon Province, I enjoyed (filming the show) as if I'm traveling," she said. "Above all, I'm really happy that I've met these five great colleagues through the show."
Referring Hyeri as an all-rounder talent for the variety shows, the producer shared that working with her again since "Amazing Saturday," led him to build deeper trust with her.
"She gave the show her all. She's very responsible so I could rely on her. She even takes care of things outside just the show itself. I feel like I've developed stronger faith in her," he said.
"(All of) the members could have not been more perfect and were amazing. I would love to meet them again in season two but even if it doesn't happen right away … I hope everything works out for them."
