Former president-publisher of The Korea Times dies at 79
Yoon Kook-byung, former president-publisher of The Korea Times, died of cancer Thursday. He was 79. Born in 1941, he began his career in 1965 as a staff reporter for the Hankook Ilbo, the sister paper of the country's oldest English daily.

More than 7,000 indie musicians active in Korea, most of them in Seoul
There are around 7,000 indie musicians in Korea and most of them are active in Seoul, according to a study published Wednesday.
